.:HLV:. 4.2 Its a trap

Akimitsu would be panting,  the cold stuck in her bones as sweat ran down her back. The sound of her own heartbeat startled her, drumming in her ears. Long thick strands of dark blue sticking to her hot face. Chest heavy going up and down as she could see her own breath  in the air.

They were actually doing it, she couldn’t believe her own eyes. Still a little voice would be nagging as she shifted her attention to something else, a foolish mistake. Aina, where was she? For just a minute had she not been paying attention to her foolish and quite impulsive twin sister. Often heading head first into battle or traps, which leaded to Akimitsu sacrificing herself as meat shield. Their sensei often lecturing them for it, Aina for being reckless and Akimitsu for being just as bad for diving right into the mess.

It didn’t stop them, it never did.

Akimitsu would let her eye fly over the scenery, yet not spotting the familiar flock of dark blue hair. Where was she! God, she better be actually injured or she was going to get it for  making her way out of her sight. Perhaps it was a bad trait that she cared so much, but at the same time it might be the only good trait she had. IF she cared, then she cared to the bone for you.

‘’Aina--’’ Akimitsu grunted out at the same time as one of the bandits spoke ‘’Shit! It looks like I underestimated you punks! Well, no matter! DIE!"

The girl turned her head towards the direction of the bandit as he clapped his hands, a explosion took place on the mountain.

‘’Shit’’ Akimitsu cursed as rocks and snow came crashing down on them. Akimitsu obviously couldn’t fight the immense force coming at her as it came with full impact. Knocking all the air out of her as the snow drove her into the woods. No matter how hard she tried to fight it off or try to grab onto something, it didn’t work. Leaving no other choice than to sit this out till the very end.

What seemed to be an eternity but in reality had only been a  minute or 10 would the girl finally get grip again. Grunting and cursing under her breath, would Akimitsu try to brush some of the snow of her. God, her rib cage hurted from the impact, cuts and bruise had formed over her body.

‘’Aina’’ Akimitsu would mumble, gazing around her as she pressed a hand on her side.

‘’ AINA’’ she called out again this time louder before realising that it was not a good idea to do this. Making too much noise could just attract the wrong kind of attention. ‘’ for fuks sake.’’ she grunted to herself.

She would start taking little steps forward, thinking, what would be the best way of action. This forest was huge, searching for somebody in enemy territory was not the best plan of action, especially outnumbered and injured. They would have to re-group. It was a frustrating situation, wanting to go look for her twin sister, and Yoshi was out there still also. Bet he was glad to be wearing shoes.

‘’Bunch of idiots, they better be oke, they won’t be forgiven otherwise’’ she grunted to herself

With a slow pace would Akimitsu start making her way around, having to orientate where she exactly was. It would be easier to climb in  a tree, get a higher view but with her ribcage acting up like this was she going to sit that out for now. Better walk the pain off for a bit and then she still could go do that.

Time would pass, the sun slowly started setting, the cold stuck in the center of her bones. Her lips would be seeing blue as her hands have hints of purple in them. This was getting her nowhere, neither did the pain in her ribcage ebb down. If anything she had seen her die with a bang, not like this. Lost and alone in the woods, frozen to death.

As she had been starting to give up would she finally see it. Smoke!

“It can’t be.’’ She mumbled to herself as hope flared up again. Her pace increasing. A warm glow appearing in the distance, followed by signs of people.

‘’Aina? Aina’’ Akimitsu would start to call out again for her sister, multiple heads turned around to look at  her, soon enough followed by a cheerful voice yelling through the crowd

‘’ Aki! ‘’ her sister called out as she came running, followed by no body else then Yoshi. But, they didn’t slow down. The 2 teenagers ran into her with full speed, tackling Akimitsu to the ground.

‘’ I hate you guys’’ she barked at them. Having to bite her tongue to not cry out in pain as they worked her down into the snow.

At Least they were reunited again.
